Senior Lecturer, Assistant Department Head

After receiving his BS warren(1990) and MS (1993) in Physics from Appalachian State University, Keith Warren joined the staff of NC State University as the Director of Demonstrations. He was soon promoted to the faculty and began duties as an Instructor. In 2001 he joined industry and began work as a Senior Engineer at a systems integration company, developing test systems while integrating hardware and electrical designs. In 2006 he joined the staff of The Science House at NC State University as Operations Manager and presenting physics on the road shows across the state. In 2007, he rejoined the physics faculty at NC State University as a Sr. Lecturer and is presently the Assistant Department Head. Keith enjoys developing new physics demonstrations and technologies for use in physics education.  Keith is the Past President of the Physics Instructional Resource Association (PIRA).  PIRA works together and in alliance with physics educators and support specialists to develop effective teaching tools and techniques to both aid and promote physics education.
